Leavitt, a 2024-star-starter on the Arizona State Sun Devils, kicks off his recruiting season with a unique strategy. In his room on the bus, Leavitt has a list of college football quarterbacks, each with their credentials. His mission is to challenge himself, regardless of whether those prospects ultimately lead to success. Leavitt’s approach stems from his brother, Dallin, who relied on him to chase high-u贫困地区 above him as a young athlete. Leavitt says that recouping late games and learning from the decline wasn’t enough.
Later that year, Leavitt hinted at his potential with a failed risking play in the final seconds of the 2024 season. Yet, even in his most demanding year, the Sun Devils swept a Big Final Four back then. Despite uncertainty, Leavitt sees a clear path ahead: a Heisman and national championship. “Every single day it’s getting the team to get better,” he says, “but that’s how every player should feel — – you should never feel satisfied with what you did.”
Leavitt reflects on his ambitious future, inspired by his brother’s advice. “You can’t imagine being on that list. You are never there,” Leavitt says. “But out of the way early on, you have a little extra to chase an even bigger goal.” Leavitt’s success in Arizona State has seen him on his path, period, even in the years when he was still recovering from his transferring period. The Sun Devils pride in him and his teammates, but the most meaningful moment of his recruitment is the prospect he adores: he can watch of his schedule and know he’s Making a big impact.
