Patrick and Brittany Mahomes Enjoy Disney on Ice with Their Growing Family
The Mahomes family recently experienced the magic of Disney together, as Patrick and Brittany took their three children—Sterling (4), Bronze (3), and Golden (12 months)—to a Disney on Ice show. “Had the best time today!!” Brittany shared enthusiastically on Instagram, giving followers a glimpse into their family outing. The special day featured the children meeting beloved Disney characters like Mickey and Minnie Mouse, with each child responding differently to the encounter. Sterling and Golden eagerly gave high-fives to the characters, while young Bronze appeared more hesitant, though he was eventually convinced with the promise of a lollipop. These precious family moments were captured and shared by both parents, with Patrick proudly reposting his wife’s photos to his own Instagram Stories.
Patrick and Brittany’s love story stretches back to their high school days, culminating in their marriage in March 2022. Their family grew quickly after welcoming Sterling a year before their wedding, followed by Bronze in November 2022, and completing their trio with Golden in January 2025. Patrick jokingly commented during a press conference shortly after Golden’s birth, “It’s a growing family, but hope we are done growing for a little while.” The Kansas City community has embraced the Mahomes family completely, making them feel like an integral part of the city’s extended family. Patrick has expressed deep appreciation for this connection, saying, “It’s been a special run, just with everybody here in Kansas City from the organization to the community, from the team and from my family.”
Family remains at the center of Patrick’s life despite his demanding career as the Kansas City Chiefs’ star quarterback. He understands the importance of creating lasting memories with his children, reflecting on his own childhood experiences: “I still remember moments from the World Series my dad played when I was 5 years old. So, these are moments I’ll have with my family for the rest of my life.” This perspective has likely made it all the more meaningful that his family regularly attends his games, supporting him from the stands as he leads the Chiefs on the field. These shared experiences are building the foundation for memories that will stay with his children throughout their lives, just as his father’s baseball career left an impression on him.
Patrick’s exceptional talent has led the Chiefs to impressive success in recent years, including back-to-back Super Bowl appearances in 2023, 2024, and 2025. Though they fell short of achieving what would have been a historic “three-peat” in 2025—losing the championship game and later missing the 2026 playoffs altogether—Patrick’s legacy as one of football’s greatest quarterbacks continues to grow. His career hasn’t been without challenges, however, as he recently underwent surgery for a knee injury that has temporarily limited his physical capabilities at home.
The knee surgery has changed family dynamics temporarily, with Patrick noting, “The kids understand that dad can’t necessarily be the dad that I usually am throwing them around the couches and stuff like that.” He’s quick to praise Brittany for her support during his recovery, saying she’s been “great” at keeping him “involved” in family activities while he heals. This partnership exemplifies their strong relationship as they navigate the ups and downs of life with three young children and the pressures of Patrick’s high-profile career. Their teamwork extends beyond parenting to supporting each other’s individual journeys—Brittany as a fitness entrepreneur and former soccer player, and Patrick as an NFL superstar.
For the upcoming NFL offseason, the Mahomes family plans to primarily remain in Kansas City, though Patrick will occasionally travel to Dallas for medical appointments related to his recovery. “I’ll be here mostly in Kansas City. There’s times I will be in Dallas just meeting with [my doctor] and being with his team as well,” he explained. Patrick approaches his rehabilitation with the same meticulous dedication he brings to football, noting, “We have a plan for every single day that I have this offseason and you got to maximize all those days.” This structured approach to recovery reflects his professional mindset, while his commitment to spending most of his time in Kansas City demonstrates his prioritization of family life and the community that has embraced them so warmly. As Patrick continues to heal and prepare for future seasons, the Mahomes family’s Disney adventure represents the kind of joyful moments they cherish amid the challenges and triumphs of their extraordinary life together.
