The tragic event in the Philippines involving two divers, Ilia Peregudin and Maksim Melekhov, incidents after experiencing a shark encounter has been thoroughly documented and inspiring for survivors. According to Viral Press, the divers were reportedly killed by sharks at a popular diving location off Verde Island, the island notorious for its vibrant marine life and coral-covered areas. During their exclusive trip, the divers were served submerged gear at a spot near the shark subgroup, which they equipped with red and yellow lights. After being enveloped by a strong current, the divers managed to separate into two groups, one of which reverted to their boat, while the other two failed to return, sustaining their loss. Captain Airland Lapitan of the Philippine Coast Guard provided critical insights, stating that the divers were separated from each other by a strong current, which allowed the shark subgroup to emerge. He revealed that one diver could not return to the boat due to the presence of sharks circling around their body, and both of the other divers also died due to the ingestion of sharks. The survey footage from the dive revealed schools of fish distributed in the vicinity, adding to the apparent danger.
