Adams Appoints Key Figures to Leadership Team
In a strategic move to establish his administration, the mayor-elect has appointed Dean Fuleihan, a seasoned government official with extensive experience in public service, to the critical position of first deputy mayor. This appointment signals the incoming mayor’s commitment to bringing established expertise to City Hall as he prepares to tackle the challenges facing the municipality. Fuleihan, whose career spans decades in various governmental roles, will serve as the mayor’s right hand, overseeing day-to-day operations and helping to implement the administration’s policy agenda across numerous city agencies and departments.
Alongside Fuleihan, the mayor-elect has selected Elle Bisgaard-Church to serve as his chief of staff, completing the core of his leadership team. Bisgaard-Church will be responsible for managing the mayor’s office, coordinating between different departments, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the administration’s internal operations. This duo of appointments represents the mayor-elect’s first major personnel decisions, offering insight into the type of government he intends to lead—one that appears to value both experienced governance and fresh perspectives as it charts a course for the city’s future.
