Former Teacher Turns to OnlyFans to Fund Dog Rescue

Courtney Tillia, a 38-year-old former special education teacher, has taken a remarkable path to animal welfare activism. The married mother has established Minnie’s Mutts, a dog rescue nonprofit in Los Angeles, and has recently made the significant decision to expand her OnlyFans content to include intimate scenes with men other than her husband. “I recently said, ‘F–k it,’ and started doing boy-girl porn. There’s too many dogs in perilous situations and rescuing costs too much for me to be leaving money on the table,” Tillia explained. This bold career move comes after previously limiting her content to solo performances, scenes with women, and content featuring only her husband. Her motivation is clear and compassionate: to generate the necessary funds to save more dogs from euthanasia.

The financial impact of this decision has been immediate and substantial. In just two weeks, Tillia released three explicit videos with new male partners on OnlyFans, generating nearly $19,000. The revenue from her first video with another man is projected to exceed her entire annual teaching salary of $36,000, which she earned working with special education students who “could not go to a public school because they were physically aggressive.” This dramatic increase in income is particularly meaningful given her previous financial struggles. Despite holding a teaching position and studying for her doctorate, Tillia and her husband, also a teacher at the time, faced significant economic hardship, ultimately filing for bankruptcy in 2015 due to $50,000 in medical debt following knee surgery she needed after a soccer injury.

Minnie’s Mutts, which Tillia runs alongside her husband Nick of 12 years, has already rescued 50 dogs from euthanasia since launching in April. However, the financial demands of animal rescue quickly became apparent. “We’re paying for a lot of it out of our own pockets. We have three that we haven’t been able to find fosters or adopters for. So, we’re paying almost $150 per day to board them,” Tillia shared. Beyond boarding costs, unexpected medical emergencies further strained their rescue funds, pushing her toward the decision to expand her content offerings despite having previously expressed reluctance to do so. Just a month earlier, she had told The Post, “I don’t do content with other men at this time. I’m not there.” Her change of heart reflects her deep commitment to the welfare of the animals in her care.

Tillia’s journey from education to adult content creation began in 2016 when she left teaching, eventually launching her OnlyFans page in 2019. Her transition came after years of dedication to special education and academic pursuits. Her career in education was promising but ultimately unsustainable – she recalls that “the president of the school actually came up to me and said that they wouldn’t pay me for the PhD because I was so young that they couldn’t afford me.” This lack of financial recognition for her expertise, combined with mounting medical debt, created the conditions that led to her career change. Ironically, about a third of the requests she now receives from her subscribers involve classroom fantasies, creating an unexpected connection to her former profession.

The Arizona native has built a substantial following online, with nearly half a million TikTok followers supporting her unconventional journey. Her openness about her career and its purpose has attracted attention and support, allowing her to channel her earnings into her passion for animal rescue. The connection between her adult content creation and animal welfare represents a unique approach to nonprofit funding, bypassing traditional donation channels in favor of direct self-funding. This approach gives her more immediate control over resources for urgent animal rescue situations, allowing Minnie’s Mutts to respond quickly to dogs in need without waiting for external funding approval or donation campaigns to conclude.

For Tillia, the mission of saving dogs transcends conventional boundaries of career and personal choices. She approaches her work with practicality and purpose, focused on the tangible outcomes of her efforts rather than societal judgments about her methods. Even her own three dogs have adjusted to her work, as she humorously notes: “They’re used to it. They’re like, ‘Oh, my mom’s doing her thing. Gotta go under the bed.'” This light-hearted comment belies the serious commitment she has made to animal welfare, channeling her earnings into a cause that saves lives. Through her unconventional path, Tillia has created a sustainable model for funding her nonprofit, transforming her personal career success into a lifeline for dogs that might otherwise be euthanized, demonstrating that compassion and rescue work can take unexpected forms.
