Marynka Marquez, a 35-year-old woman from Denton, now faces arson charges after allegedly placing a large bag against the church’s exterior wall and setting it ablaze last Wednesday. These messages included vulgar statements about Kirk and ominous threats suggesting harm to those attending the vigil. One message reportedly read, “C Kirk is eating p— and s— in h—,” followed by “Soon you’ll help him eat and drink it all,” while another plate contained the cryptic message, “C is a 4 coward, C is 4 Conservative, C is 4 Control.” These materials were discovered by church staff who recognized them as direct intimidation attempts against the planned memorial service.

Authorities were able to identify Marquez thanks to a business card she inadvertently left inside the bag with the threatening messages.
