The case of the volunteers searching for their missing relatives has been set in motion after receiving updated information about a hidden mass grave found in western Mexico. Last week, a tip was shared about three underground cremation ovens, human remains, bone shards, and discarded personal items at an abandoned ranch near La Estanzuela, Guadalajara. The Mexican authorities have since revealed more details, claiming to have found shells and metal gripping rings in the area. However, the exact number of victims and the identity of those killed remain unknown, with some remains still unidentified.

The discovery is now known as an “extermination camp” by local authorities, despite the fact that not a single body was found. Critics call this the country’s largest exodus by far, with over 120,000 people forcibly disappeared since 1962 according to official data.
